Earlier in the day is better than later. Wear a bright jersey. The main roads through the park and the branch out to Keys Point are about the only paved roads. Portions of the main road are fairly new and in good shape. Portions of it are not and are horrible for road bikes, but these sections are few. None of the roads have much in the way of shoulders, except for a few newer sections, but visibility is very good on many sections of the road, so that is a plus. It's not really much of a park for good cycling, but if you are an experienced road rider and aren't bothered by traffic p@ssing by very close to your shoulder, I think if you were there during the middle of the week, you have a chance of having a very good experience.
