I try to imagine what it was like back then. Thinking of teens hiking from 29 Palms up either 49 Palms Canyon, or Rattlesnake Canyon, to reach Barker Dam, or perhaps one of the lakes built by Bill Keys, to go swimming, apparently was one fun thing for teens to do back then. Sure was a lot healthier than punching buttons on video games!
