stop at the Ranger Station there and get directions for entering the Wonderland of Rocks via Wonderland Wash. Its not a distinct trail, so be adventurous. It IS the most spectaclar parts of the Park, espcially after the first half mile or so, when the trail opens up into a huge vally with the greatest concentration of huge cliffs and boulders in the Park. Be sure to drive up to Keys View also. If you want to stay on trails, consider Ryan Mt. if you have the stamina for uphill hiking...and the much more simple *Hidden Valley* nature trail. Another simplier, and a favorite hike of mine, off trail but you can follow a wash, is to head south from the Desert Queen Mine parking area......its an area of rare beauty not all that commonly visited. If you like to follow a trail to an area of large boulders, head north on the trail to Pine City.

My fav roadside attraction is Split Rock. Be sure to venture around to the back side of it.
