Looking from the same spot as the last shot, at 10x zoom on my little point-and-shoot camera. You can see the palm trees well.
At this point I have to let you down, since I had to turn around and go back. I had twisted my bad knee a few times getting to this point and I was afraid to descend into the deep canyon to the oasis lest I not be able to get back out. I hope to return soon and try again. I still enjoyed the day. I hope to make up for this and get pictures of the oasis.
